Set against the majestic backdrop of Ellwangen Palace, Nicole and Gerd’s wedding was designed to be as timeless as it was memorable. The couple envisioned an opulent event that paid homage to their love. The dinner took place in the so-called “Schafstall,” a completely empty barn-like room that was transformed into an elegant space. With a sophisticated white-and-gold theme, accented by fabric-draped ceilings and fairy lights, the transformation of the venue reflected their refined tastes and attention to detail, creating a warm yet luxurious atmosphere.
A Day Filled with Elegance and Entertainment
The Ceremony and Reception
The couple exchanged vows during a stunning outdoor ceremony, surrounded by the lush palace gardens. Despite the forecast hinting at rain, Nicole was unwavering in her vision for the day. With the support of our team and the assistance of a rain radar, we made a last-minute decision to proceed with the outdoor ceremony.
As the ceremony concluded and guests made their way to the champagne reception, the weather took an unexpected turn. Quick thinking and teamwork transformed a potential challenge into an elegant solution: our team guided the wedding party to the palace arcades, where live music from the pianist and saxophonist of the wedding band created a celebratory and enchanting atmosphere. Meanwhile, the reception setup was relocated to a sheltered space, ensuring a seamless experience for guests.
A Lavish Dinner and Unforgettable Entertainment
The indoor dinner was a highlight of the day, featuring an indulgent seven-course menu prepared by a kitchen team flown in from Paris, France. Every detail, from the table settings to the culinary presentation, was meticulously crafted to delight the guests.
Entertainment was at the heart of the evening, with a carefully curated program that included a wedding band, a violinist, and performances by two iconic acts: Ottawan and Marques. To cap off the night, a mesmerizing laser show illuminated the walls of the palace, leaving guests in awe.
To balance such an extensive entertainment lineup, we strategically designed the evening to allow moments of relaxation, mingling, and personalization. Guests could enjoy activities like a photo booth or contribute to the couple’s guest book, ensuring a dynamic yet harmonious flow to the event.
Overcoming Challenges with Precision
Transforming an Empty Barn into a Luxurious Venue
The dinner took place in the so-called “Schafstall,” a completely empty, barn-like room that was transformed into a breathtaking reception space for 180 guests. The transformation included a catering area, elegant decor, and state-of-the-art lighting. Fabric-draped ceilings with fairy lights added warmth and charm, while strategic illumination highlighted the rustic architecture of the space.

The palace’s narrow delivery area posed challenges for coordinating vendor arrivals and setup. With precise scheduling and on-site coordination, we ensured every delivery—from florals to furnishings—arrived and was set up without delay or disruption. The transformation of the space was an intricate process, taking our dedicated team five days to bring every detail of the couple’s vision to life.
Adapting to Weather Changes
Nicole’s wish to proceed with the outdoor ceremony, despite the weather forecast, required flexibility and swift decision-making. By guiding the wedding party to a sheltered arcade during a brief rain shower, we ensured the day stayed on track without compromising the couple’s vision.
