Sarah & Michael
Elegance, garden and tent wedding – is that possible?
The requirements
Michael’s parents’ remote property on a mountain, overlooking Schiltach in the Black Forest, was to be the location for Sarah &’s dream wedding with 130 guests. Become Michael.
Since the property didn’t have a hall that could accommodate so many guests, but it did have a huge garden, it quickly became clear that it would be a tent wedding.
It was very important to my bride Sarah that it wasn’t a casual garden party. The celebration should be as elegant and festive as possible.
The Wedding design
Therefore, I suggested to the bride and groom a timeless, elegant wedding design in white and blush tones, combined with elegant gold accents. The concept was rounded off by the minimalist stationery. For the tent, my bride and groom chose a so-called sailcloth tent, which is currently in great demand, especially in the USA, because it can be completely closed with side walls and is more elegant than a typical festival tent or a stretch tent. Floor-length tablecloths combined with the Louis chairs made the look perfect.
The challenges
A special feature of this wedding planning was the bride and groom’s current place of residence: Mexico.<br>As a result, most of the planning discussions took place online. Appointments at which the bride and groom had to be present took place on the few days in which the two were visiting Germany.
When planning the wedding, the biggest challenge was the very narrow access road to the property and the lack of parking spaces, as well as the inadequate infrastructure for an event of this size.
That’s why The necessary preparations had to be made in advance so that sufficient electricity was available for all trades. In addition, the necessary infrastructure had to be set up for catering and additional toilets. The arrival and delivery of the individual service providers was closely timed and the arrival of the guests by shuttle was also coordinated using a sophisticated schedule.
The outdoor wedding
The outdoor wedding, which was actually supposed to take place in the garden in front of huge rhododendrons, had to be moved to the tent at short notice due to the weather. Thanks to the flexibility and creativity of all the service providers involved and also the bride and groom, we were still able to conjure up a beautiful and romantic wedding setting in the tent. A close friend of the bride and groom, who had never given a wedding speech before, performed the wedding. Due to the lack of experience, the friend was advised and supported by me in advance, in addition to my planning work, in setting up the wedding speech. And so the bride and groom received an individual, unique, funny, warm, romantic and touching wedding speech that I have rarely experienced.
The wedding reception
Neither the repeated rain showers throughout the day nor the very cool September temperatures in the evening and at night dampened the mood and so the bride and groom enjoyed Getting Ready every single second until the end of the party in the early hours of the morning.
In addition to a great team of service providers, the wedding was made especially by a few selected games in the afternoon, emotional speeches in the evening and the warm hospitality of Sarah & Michael, as well as your families, for an unforgettable and very personal celebration.
